Devicelab Selected For 40 Free Renesas Synergy Design Partner Hour Program

DeviceLab Selected for ‘40 Free Renesas Synergy™ Design Partner Hour’ Program

Expands Orange County Medical Device Design Company’s Partnership with Microcontroller Supplier’s IoT Platform

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., May 31—DeviceLab Inc., an Orange County medical device design and manufacturing company, today announced its selection as a partner in the 40 Free Renesas Synergy™ Design Partner Hours program.

Sponsored by the Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), the world’s number one supplier of microcontrollers, the program links new wireless/IoT product design applicants with Renesas’ network of certified design house partners to kickstart their innovations via the Renesas™ Synergy Platform. For qualified wireless medical device applicants, that means an opportunity to earn 40 free hours with DeviceLab’s award-winning wireless medical device design experts.

The Renesas™ Synergy Platform is a complete and qualified platform that accelerates embedded development, designed to help IoT embedded engineers overcome:

  • Time to market
  • Cost of ownership
  • Barriers to entry

DeviceLab has extensive, proven experience with the Synergy platform, having recently used it in several of its wireless medical device design projects—including the development of its own Apollo™ wireless medical device electronic systems platform that was featured in a full-size translucent mannequin on a custom-designed examination table at the DevCon 2015 Renesas Developers Conference.

DeviceLab used several Renesas product lines to accomplish the Apollo platform objectives, including RZ, Renesas Synergy™ S7 and Renesas Synergy™ S3 processors. Renesas technologies were integrated in the Apollo designs with various wireless interfaces for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular.

“It’s an honor to be selected as a Renesas strategic partner for this unique program,” said DeviceLab founder and CEO Dac Vu. “We are keenly aware of the tremendous advantages their platform provides for new wireless medical device designs, and we appreciate Renesas’ recognition of DeviceLab as a qualified medical device design partner. It will be our privilege to lend our expertise to the lucky candidates that are selected to participate in the program.”

Candidates are encouraged to apply immediately, as the program is only available for a limited time.
