ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. and CHANDLER, Ariz.—DeviceLab Inc., an Orange County medical device design and manufacturing company, today announced its inclusion in a Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MHCP) Design Partner Program.

As part of Microchip’s 32-bit MPU specialist group, DeviceLab was specifically selected for its expertise with high-speed MPU hardware design, Linux software knowledge, secure applications and System on Module (SoM) design capabilities.

DeviceLab and Microchip have been engaged in a partnership agreement since 2013. The agreement enables Microchip customers to more readily seek and engage DeviceLab’s highly qualified support for the design of medical products and equipment that use Microchip’s world-class development tools.

“Microchip’s products and experience have helped hundreds of the world’s top medical device companies take their ideas from future vision to market reality, and it’s our privilege to continue to be of that tradition,” said DeviceLab founder and CEO Doc Vu.

Vu said DeviceLab has collaborated nearly a dozen electronic medical product design projects with Microchip. He is eager to continue leveraging the relationship in order to fulfill his customers’ expectations for world-class electronic medical device development.

“Nearly all DeviceLab projects include sophisticated electronic systems design and software development,” said Vu. “As you push the boundaries of performance and power, you want your underlying design technology to be easy to use and secure, which we can reliably get from Microchip’s wide product offerings.
